I Am no One of any particular importance as the world measures such things…
At one point I was a fairly active entertainment journalist and a published author. That was fun.
I’m taking a break from all of that.
During this hiatus from “serious” writing, I started this project, Huios 2030, which is probably best described as a hobby—though it also has a very serious side to it (in more of a spiritual sense).
I’ve always been a fan of conspiracy theories. Whether or not they are true, I’ve always enjoyed reading about them and even researching some of the more plausible ones.
After I came across one of the most intriguing, plausible theories I’ve ever encountered, I knew had to write about it, even just for the sheer fun of it. And instead of writing stale journalism-style pieces that reeked of self-importance and ambition and were “ultra serious,” I decided to incorporate the creative arts into this website to really make it fun (and also to remind myself not to take myself too seriously with this—it really is just a fun hobby for me).
In regards to this project, even if it might sometime seem as if I have some measure of exclusive insider info about the people involved in this geopolitical theory, I am in no way connected to anyone involved with certain geopolitical-related intelligence “drops” online. Neither am I associated with anyone in the Kennedy family nor do I have contact with them.
(And if possible, I prefer to keep it that way. It’s nothing personal against them, of course, or against the popular geopolitical sites mentioned above. I prefer to work on this Kennedy-related story from an outsider’s perspective rather than someone given access to the inside scoop. This is not supposed to be an “insider” project. That would take the fun out of it.)
I am writing this in December 2018, and I happen to believe that JFK, Jr. staged his death in 1999 and is still alive today.
A little weird, I know—especially if this is the first you’ve heard of it.
It’s just a theory, of course, but I’m fairly confident it’s true. I believe my information on that is reliable.
I only mention the theory about Kennedy because that particular quirk in my worldview helped inspire my storyline for Huios 2030.
(“Huios” is ancient Greek for “son,” by the way. I’ll get more into the meaning of that word as this project progresses.)
I heard about the situation with JFK, Jr. from other people who discovered it, so I can’t take credit for that particular theory.
In general, even though I use the theory above as inspiration, please remember that this project is first and foremost a work of fiction.
There are three basic things to know (for now) about my heart behind the story:
1. The primary quest and purpose of this website (as stated in more detail on The Count of Monte Cristo and the Meaning of the Book of Revelation) is to use literature, images, and sound to provide a superb, comprehensive answer to the question: “What is the meaning of the Book of Revelation?”
That’s a very tall order, I know, but it’s fun to dream big. It’s always been a hobby of mine to study the Book of Revelation as a lay person scholar, and this project is a fun way to continue and develop that hobby. There are plenty of scholars who have far more expertise on the subject than I do, so I’m not pretending to be a superior authority on it. This is merely my two cents on the topic.
2. Huios 2030 is meant to (hopefully) entertain, inspire, and challenge people in a constructive way.
3. It’s also meant to be a cautionary tale to the world—especially to those who find themselves in positions of influence and power like the various characters in the story. Hopefully people find it relatable.
We live in crazy times.
My hope is that you find encouragement here, even if you disagree with certain portions (or all) of my worldview.
I’ve had to fight through a lot of fear just to publish this story and launch this newly designed website, but I’ve learned something important: life is too short and God is too big to let fear hold me back.
This is not a commercial endeavor. All content is free, and I will not be monetizing this in anyway or using it to build a social media platform.
No email list or pop-ups ever.
Only patience is required.
The tale will need many years to be told, assuming God allows me to finish it.
I will not do interviews, podcasts, or any public appearances for this project.
With a project like this, I can’t be deeply concerned about the public’s opinion of it. I tried to present something similar to this in October 2018, but I was far too concerned with impressing the people who would be reading it. That just ruins it, as I discovered, and it leads to other problems.
No more people-pleasing.
No more ambitions for a public platform. (And if I hear the terms “thought leader” or “social media influencer” one more time I might shut this website down ASAP and go off the grid for the rest of my life.)
I’m a random, ordinary citizen of my beloved USA—with all its natural beauty and bustling big cities and great plains of Mayberry-like small towns filled with kind, hard-working people. I get emotional when I hear Lee Greenwood’s “Proud to Be an American.”
That was the original seed of this whole thing that started (for me) in October 2018: earnest love for my country and a general excitement to see history unfold in such a way that awful corruption might be removed from our nation’s government and political process.
As things develop, I believe America will experience unprecedented (and unexpected) peace and prosperity in the early to mid-2020s. I believe the late 2020s, however, will be exceptionally difficult for the whole world. My story, though it is fiction, will provide some insight about why I believe those things.
My hope is that somehow this website will be used by God to help people spiritually prepare their hearts for both the good and bad times that are coming.
My general advice, especially to Christians: I urge you to, in a figurative/spiritual way, follow the principle of wisdom that Joseph gave to Pharaoh in the Book of Genesis when Joseph told Pharaoh to store the surplus of the years of plenty in preparation for the years of famine and hardship. When good times come spiritually—i.e. you have freedom to read and study the Bible, worship, pray, preach the Gospel, and fellowship with other believers on a regular basis to your heart’s content—soak up every second of that time and use it to the best of your ability.
For these current days (the late 2010s), if you’re thinking about all the stuff that’s been happening in the world, especially all the horrific decades-old corruption that’s coming to light, and you’re shaking your head (or weeping), I know how you feel. It can be depressing and stressful.
Truth is stranger than fiction (always).
History has recently stepped into uncharted territory beyond anything I have expected to see in my lifetime.
Many things are taking place that are unprecedented in history, both good and bad.
The bitter division in America is not unprecedented, but it has been heartbreaking—at least from what I’ve seen so far at the time of this paragraph’s writing (12/25/18).
And the corruption that grew and festered at the top levels of national and global high society over decades has been one of the great travesties of history.
I’m referring to the crimes mentioned in investigations such as the ones conducted by the Inspector General Horowitz—i.e. the crimes committed by the powerful elite such as the Clintons and many others on both sides of the political aisle (not just Democrats).
Even if they all go to jail very soon, a lifetime will not be long enough to grieve over all the terrible, horrid things the powerful elite have done in the shadows for generations.
How do we heal?
The wheels of justice have moved slow, yes, but at least they have finally started moving—so it seems (and so I hope).
God’s wheels of justice are moving too.
Background and Statement of Faith
I studied music in college, and music remains a great passion and joy. (There will likely be many music references and themes in this project.)
I also love film and classic literature.
And I love epic dance-offs with a throwback 1980s vibe.
I’m a “Jesus freak,” as you probably noticed. Fun fact: The term “Jesus freak” was used by the 1990s Christian rap/pop group dc Talk for the name of their legendary 1995 album released by Forefront Records.
I’m an ordinary Christian with a devout orthodox Christian worldview (i.e. the Nicene Creed and Apostles’ Creed). I’m very passionate about that. My faith in Jesus Christ is the most important thing in my life. I don’t really fit well into this modern world, frankly.
I annoy a lot of modern people.
I’m very proud and grateful to be an American—even just an ordinary-face-lost-in-the-crowd American—but this world is not my home and my true citizenship is in Heaven.
And even though this website deals with very serious topics, I do love to laugh, and I hope this site will provide a little comic relief too.
Pro tip: Heaven’s sense of humor is more potent (and louder in its joyous laughter) than all the comedy and laughter on the earth combined.
I have roots in Ireland, Scotland, and Galicia (from the area that is modern-day Ukraine).
At the very bottom I’ll leave a family crest from my Irish side. Eventually I’ll leave a poem below the crest.
If you’re looking to “connect” with me, I must be frank with you: that door is closed for a variety of reasons.
I don’t have any social media pages or profiles dedicated to this site (I am really burned out on social media).
We live in such a stressful, content marketing-obsessed world that simply working on this site and building something interesting is reward enough. It’s been good therapy.
if you’re an actual person reading this and not just a search engine bot (based on my plans above, search engine crawlers will likely constitute 98.8% of my audience, LOL), then I hope this website encourages you.
If you haven’t heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ and opened your heart to Christ, please consider doing so because the time is short. Repenting from all my pride and surrendering my stubborn will to Christ and giving my life to Him many years ago was the best thing that’s ever happened to me by far. This video captures the spirit of the Gospel if you prefer a visual medium:
”…for God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
Ultimately, the view of those who believe in the Gospel is this:
No matter what happens in the affairs of this present world, the Lord will someday come and remove all evil once and for all, re-make the heavens and the earth, and wipe every tear from the faces of the humble (Prov. 3:34) until even the faintest memories of their pain and loss in this world fade away forever.
As these verses explain:
18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. 20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.
22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? 25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. 2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them,4 and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.”
